About This Site

This website was created by Sara K. Janes as part of the coursework for GLIS 634: Web System Design and Management at the Graduate School of Library and Information Studies at McGill University.

Information has been culled from personal knowledge as well as various online resources. These have been linked to in the right-hand sidebar on the relevant pages. I also draw on two articles I have published, both appearing in The Griffith Observer: Galileo and the Telescope (September 2006) and The Hubble Space Telescope: Its History and Science (March 2005).
